I like the 3rd one the best. Perfect lighting, no funny faces, nice poses. The 1st one has too much lighting, the 2nd one ?

I agree third one looks great, very cute kids. I don't really get 2, although the kids might like the nostril shot I can't imagine parents will like it.

Thanks! #2 was just meant to be whimsical. I added it in because I liked the warmth coming from the sunset.

I disagree about the perfect lighting, were you using an on camera flash because you've got some pretty harsh shadows. Very cute kids!

#2 is the kind of additional background photo that parents do tend to like....it's not a great "photo" in any sense of the word, but it is a splendid "moment"...there's a whole range of things that parents and family members only will appreciate. It's sure a cute bunch of kids...but I do declare, I'll bet their mama is exhausted by 5 o'clock each afternoon!!!!

I was using my sb700 and shooting slightly down in the direction of the sun, so I tried to eliminate most of the shadows. I will look out for that next time.
