I love this sort of thing, but you really need more depth of field. Shooting it straight on helps, but even then you need some DOF because the flakes are not really flat.

I was just seeing how little i could get with my Mamiya C330

The texture and the distracting elements did end up pretty well to compose this interesting photo. Somehow it is addictive to stare into this photo for a long time

Cheers, with the 80f2.8 on medium format film you can get a very shallow depth of field
