So what are my chances of getting these type of pictures without an expensive flash? Lol.

I'm new here so trying to get the hang of it. But yeah, this. I've tried slow shutter speed and flash or even just random sources of light and got cool effects.

Haha! Well...let's just say he's a serious model. It was insulation but I think because of the dust, dirt and bird poop on it kind of covered it so it wasn't too itchy. Gotta love cut-throat models.

Don't get me wrong, I do think the photo has merit, but also think that much more could be achieved with additional lighting. I think there are some hidden treasures that could be brought out from the shadows.

The "party girl's" photos that you are so fond of.......... amateurish at best. But then again, at 15, I wouldv'e thought they were really cool too.

In other news, how do you mean? I thought that with flash it lit the entire shack up and took focus away from the model. But I'm curious as to where you might see these "hidden treasure" and I apologize if I sound sarcastic, I'm not trying to be, I'm really curious how I can improve my pictures.

PS. Thanks for saying that her pictures are amateur. I had a lot of people prefer her pictures over mine for that party.
