Flash help-Olympus T20 and EVOLT E-450?

Hello. I'm looking into building an underlit "studio" for smaller things (like my wife's camera collection) and am considering a remote flash setup. I have an old Olympus T20 flash unit that came with my OM-1n, and while it's not what anyone would consider powerful, I can't imagine that it wouldn't work. Here's my questions: First, CAN I use it with the E-450? I've heard conflicting things about mounting it on the hot shoe, and don't know if the same issues could apply to a remote setup. Second, if I CAN use it, can you guys kindly point me in the direction of the things I would need to do it? AKA a cable of some sort, perhaps? I'm on a bit of a budget. If I weren't, I'd love to get a newer, more customizable flash, but that's not gonna happen at the moment. Thanks!

Bump from the dead... I contacted Olympus. If it helps anyone, I was told that the flash and the camera use different voltages, but there are third party converters out there to mount between the camera and flash. I was also told that the T series flashes work as slave flashes.
