Flight! A ten-shot series.

Thought I'd post a little series I put together for the last publication of online doco magazine SEA Collectiv.

Whilst street photography normally focuses on human life, there is also a strong tradition of photographing the living creatures which share our urban spaces.

This series, Flight!, was born of both the street photography tradition and a reaction to the abundance of clear, colour nature photography circulating today.

I have preferred to depict common birds, in common human environments, with a view to showing that nature doesn't just exist in pristine or remote environments, but is part of everyday life.

Nice! The first pic reminds me of the movie, one flew over the cuckoo's nest. I also like flight from the water. Btw, where do you find all these birds? Did you have to startle them to get them to fly? Fun!

In this forum i see wonderful images; but many a time they are not properly grouped.. i mean themes do not match; as individual photos tell a story, the group as a whole has a story to tell too... in this regard i very much appreciate this series; they are good individually as well as a collection; not a single shot is disappointing
