I used a Macro Reverse Ring. So basically it's an adapter that allows me to put my 50mm f/1.8 lens on reverse, and get real close for photos like this. I also have an accessory that allows me to control the aperture manually. After that, it's just like any other photo. Compose the shot, adjust your settings, and shoot.
