Got a couple new lens this week and thought I'd try them out this weekend. Still learning so comments are welcome.

Great shot! Bees are hard to shoot

The picture is a little "warm" May I suggest you try "cooling" it down a bit? (Don't know the technical term...) A slightly tighter crop might give a little bit more focus on the bee. Just my opinion =) Keep shooting!

The use of a difusser would have significantly helped with this photo. It would cut the harshness of the sunlight and aid in boosting color saturation. Of course, shooting at a time when the sun is not directly overhead would be another option.

A little too contrasty which was the result of the strong direct sunlight. Since the subject is the Bee and not the Rose, the Bee is really too small, and easily gets lost within the full frame. All you can do for now is re-crop. Also the Bee looks a little fuzzy to me, like the focused is just a tad off.

yeah re crop of flower n bee, could also carry some typing paper with you to help diffuse the harsh sunlight, or like joel...find yourself an umbrella.
