I think the crop is too tight in the second one and the composition is weird in both. The red is vibrant though and I like the detail you've achieved in the first one with the harsher light.

I think it is beautiful but yes crop is too tight.. but you have a beautiful flower.. I have snow... so it is so pleasing to see
