Getting in closer with the new lens. C&C welcome. Thank you.

1. Puffy seeds. Nice Autumn feel here. Better WB in this one. I really like the DOF with this lens. Any thoughts - maybe on the sharpness, or...?

2. Trapped down. So delicate and held firm by the sharp spear-like leaf. It's a crop and really suffers from low resolution - gotta get closer next time. WB was set to Auto, but it still looks too blue, even after I poked at it in PS.

Nice Jaemie. Looks sharp enough to me. I've been debating about whether to get that 70-210 FD for my A1. Used ones are very reasonable price-wise. your shots are showing me that they are worth the relatively small investment. With the 50mm standard and a 35-105 I would be pretty well set for most situations.

How are you enjoying it so far ?

Thank you.

I'm enjoying it greatly. This is the lens donated by pixmedic. The lens itself is in wonderful condition: no lens creep, smooth operation, easy to focus. It's quite heavy, and since my camera is very light, I need to be especially mindful of balance and camera grip. Also, the 1.3x crop factor means I'm shooting at about 90-273mm, if I'm not mistaken. That's something I'm not used to, but it's a lot of fun. Oh and, there's no stabilization in the lens, of course, or my camera body, so I find myself pulling out the tripod and using the self-timer a lot, and just trying to be super steady when shooting handheld. These two photos were shot handheld, btw, at 1/400 and 1/250sec, respectively.

you said fluffy...I thought bunnies.
