Football With A Very Cheap Lens

As the light dropped at the match yesterday I decided to try manual focus with my £10 Soligor 135mm f 2.8 manual focus and these were a few shots I was well pleased with

A bit nosiy, but that is normal with the low light.
For the rest, pretty nice shots indeed. Especially the goalie shot is great !

The lens is about 35 years old but have seen a few of them on eBay although I got mine from a camera fair,as you say at that price you can have a play and if its no good you've not lost much.There are a couple on eBay uk now although they re asking a bit more than I paid and of course you have to budget for an adapter

Nice shots. I think your lens is generally fine. I use all sorts of lenses myself, from Canon L series lenses to 30 year old M42 Pentax manual focus lenses. Keep up the good work.
