Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I usually shoot with my 70-200 but for some reason I grabbed this out of my bag for this shoot with Cohen. The images are so much cleaner and sharper it seems. The one downside... it's hard to shoot at 1.8 with a child. Most of the images taken at 1.8 missed the focus mark because he would move around so much :-)

They are all great except for the last, mainly because it is oof.

Thanks D-B-J. I don't know why I can't see that until someone else mentions it. At least now I know not to give that one to his mom

Oh man! You guys are tearing me up tonight ;-). I thought I pulled from the correct folder. Are there any others that aren't with the 50mm? That's embarrasing :(

No worries. The 50mm f/1.8D is a fine lens for the money, but not as fine as the 70-200mm f/2.8 ;)
You did nice work on the other shots. I knew that bokeh was too nice to be the 50mm f/1.8D on that shot.
The specular highlights on #1 were much more indicative of what that lens produces if you aren't careful about the background.

Just busting your balls ... :D

Good shot is good shot! It does not matter what gear you use. It still a good shot none the less. I like #3

Overall I really like these. I think mom will love them. #1 and #4 I would crop a bit on the left so that he's not dead center.
Love his curly hair, reminds me of my son when he was younger!

Very true. A fine shot indeed
Wouldn't want to buy the 50mm f/1.8D expecting the results in #3.
Not without careful attention to background at any rate.

The thread was a rave for a specific lens. Just not the one used in #3.

Well done OP regardless.

I agree with you both ;-). I know when I was looking to purchase this lens I searched the forums for examples of what it can do. Someone definetely could have been mislead seeing this post.
