Not much to critique, only that DoF insufficient. Overall compo is not telling any story.

I think it would work because the wheel and the way it's lit are interesting, but the out-of-focus plants in front of it in the center and right of the image are too distracting.

Well, as usual it seems, I disagree and really like this.
Old, Industrial macho steel and iron. That's the only story I need from this picture. I even like the weeds. Shows abandonment and neglect.
To me, this is a very cool photo

It's not bad, but a wider crop with more DoF would make for a stronger image IMO.

^This.... too tightly framed. Having it all sharp would improve the shot immensely.
