formatting images for internet

I use Adobe CC for photographers ($9.99 a month for LR and Photoshop). I've had that since December, I paid for the year in advance so I didn't have to worry about the month fee.

I've only attempted to use gimp once, and didn't really know what I was doing so I gave up.
