Fort Cluckster

Clucky is a Red Bellied Wood Pecker and Bride of Clucky is his mate.
They are building a nest in a tree in my yard and I hope to eventually get shots of the babies.

The one that has less less red on the head is Bride of Clucky.

Clucky has been a digging and chopping machine! He bored that hole in only three or so days. Plus he's had to fight off another male who wants to steal his Bride and new home. And if that were not enough headache, I saw him chase a starling from the nest, too.
