here's my first decent photo with a dslr in manual guys. Im only a begginer and have been taking photos for one week. what do you think, any good?

A centered composition can work, but should probably then be symmetrical. Here you run into the issue of a centered subject, but you don't have symmetry. This leads to a feeling of unbalance for no good reason.

I do like the silhouette and how the bridge support column is right at the point where the clouds break up. Color is great as well.

thanks fjrabon, these bridges are 5 mins from my home so its a good thing to start on. I see what you mean about the symetry of it, ill go take some from a different angle tomorrow evening (weather permiting). I think it would look better if the bridge was to one side.

If you do retake these, I would agree try for the "symmetry element". In this one it would have been better,( my opinion) if you had arranged for the centre support on the bridge to somehow bisect the sunset. Even if you were to arrange to have the centre support of the bridge in the centre of the image, the fact that the sunset is off centre stills takes away from the overall symmetry - make sense? Personally, I would concentrate on having the sunset in the centre with the bridge span, rather than the support, acting as a bit of a frame. My 0.02¢ FWIW.
