Last Saturday morning I went to a favorite park. Crazy the wildlife found there. It's within the city limits, not out in the country. Soon as I got out of the truck I heard this guy "barking". Knew exactly what it was, but on the other side of a pond. Hightailed it around the pond and stopped where I thought it was. Silence. Busted.

The sun was just coming up and the woods were pretty dark. Stepped off the trail and stood next to a tree. There were several places the sun was shining through. Hoped it would step into one of them. I was ready. Sure enough it came around a fallen tree into this spot. Fired four quick shots. First wasn't in focus. Two and three were very similar. (This is the second) The fourth was a blur as it turned to the left and fled. Just like that...gone!

Nice story and a great shot. You only had one opportunity ... no do-overs ... you nailed it. Well done.

Ohh! That's a cool story! You got lucky with the light but I appreciate your timing and skills. It's a great picture I must say! :)

Thank you, sir. The practice has paid off. Luck played a part too. The most important thing I've learned about wildlife photography so far.....Be faster than your subject. I'm not getting any younger. Lol.

Well captured!

Thank you.

Nice shot.....

Thank you.

Thank you. Had to throw the back story in there. I was so happy it stepped into the light. Should have bought a lottery ticket. It was my lucky day.

Great job getting that one. We have a local park like you described.

Thanks Dean. There are two other much larger and rural parks that I frequent. No where near what I get from right in my back yard. Have so many pictures I'll be editing all winter.

Awesome capture!

Thank you.
