Beautiful pictures.

I'll be living in Florence for nine months (studying abroad) come August :).

Thanks, studying abroad is definitely on my list of to-dos for college.

Neat set of pictures. Numbers 1 (wow!) and 10 (yes, I know it has overexposed sections) are superb.

Gorgeous! I'm quite jealous. Took my wife on our honeymoon to Italy, although Rome and Florence. Never got down south like to Capri. South of France looks gorgeous too. Ahhh, Europe. Thanks for sharing! :)

Yeah, Capri was amazing. I just don't think I could afford to stay there long. Every clothing store I saw was a high end designer (Armani, Versace, Valentino, D&G, Prada, etc). Then you had houses upwards of $50,000,000USD and 100+ft yachts circling the island. Maybe someday...

the halo in 26 is caused by your processing...local contrast adjustment? Try toning it down or try a different process.....I've got a shot of the same alley in Assisi! I was disappointed in Assisi, such commercial exploitation of a man who was exactly the opposite. Your other shots are well composed but show one of the unfortunate things about travelling, dealing with the light.....waiting for late light is not feasable most of the time. The light is much better around October.

Yeah, I was on a tour group so I had to deal with whatever the lighting was during our 5 min photo stops or try to take a picture mid stride as we walked from location to location.

I noticed that in many historical areas throughout both countries that there are many touristy shops that distract from the architecture and history.

I'll have to play with 26 a little more. The only reason I did so much of the harsher processing was to hide the results of my goof. I accidentally resized and bumped up the jpg compression on my originals and copies. So 2/3 of my images are now in the 600x800 range and were taken down to a 5 jpg compression in PS.

stunning pictures :D number 23 is really dark looking (not color wise) its my favorite

I absolutely love the pics, I love the effect on #12, probably my favorite

12 did not handle the compression and resize so well, so I figured I could make it appear as an old family photo.

Thanks

Ah, turned out good if you ask me, looks like something from an old sunscreen ad. Good job.
