We have a hybrid goose that has a similar pigment issue.

Here's another pic I took later this afternoon. You can see it has white on the neck also.

On the neck also? Hmmm, makes me wonder if this isn't some minor form of leucism as leucistic Canada Geese are known.

Regardless, nice capture. Maybe someone who is quite familiar with Canada Geese will be able to comment.

Very cool. Looking online at others it looks most likely to be a hybrid snow goose and Canada goose.

either luecistic or a hybrid. Snow x Canada goose. looks better for Canada X Snow IMO. interesting bird either way.

Thanks to you all for responding and the interesting info. The goose looked to be slightly shorter than the others, so maybe it is a hybrid. That was why I originally thought it might be still in a juvenile state.

Canada geese i don't think have a juvenile state and even then they should be around the same size although there is the smaller sub species of canada goose and then a completly different species the Cackling goose which will be slightly bigger then a mallard.
