Fresh Eyes for the Apple Blossoms

I have a folder of images that I just can't seem to process "right". Every so often I revisit it with fresh eyes and today it was the apple blossom's turn. I'm quite pleased with how this ultimately turned out

Nice, very delicate picture, for me with not too strong impact. However everything is a matter of the scale. Seen from two feet on the screen it is good. Imagine now printed large and seen from four yards in room with regular lighting. IMO background should be one zone darker for the twig to really pop out plus I would crop out one inch from the top (just above the light arch running from the top flower to the side) to place the main groupings of flowers in strong points of the frame. This way a bit busy part of the BG will be eliminated and also the diagonal line of the flowers will run very close to the line from corner to corner. Vertical part of the twig is already at almost 1/3 of the length of the base which is nice.

Hmmm, I shall ponder your thoughts, I already cropped off the top because there was too much up there and got rid of some other details in the bokeh above, you are right, I was playing with scale, the background is the trunk of another apple tree that kinda echoed the branch, I liked it "looming" above the other branch, I will play a bit with it. I can get on board with a liiiiiiiittle darker in the background.
