First impressions: I don't know if it is just me, but I would have moved around to the right a bit more so that the trees are not "blocking" the view of the back half of the building. HTH.

Fair comment.
I have taken this place so many times now, I think I am getting "blind" to what is important to the shot. I will try to look again "with new eyes", cheers WesternGuy.

To me it's an ok shot for what is. You do have a really cool subject in the castle (though with the windows it's more of a fortified house I think). There are a few therengs that bug me about the shot though, mainly it looks a wee bit off kilter and as if it could do with being straightened a bit, but that might just be wonky old walls. I think the road detracts from the pic too, and the way it bends leads my eye out the frame. Lots of potential though

It is a castle (well that's what they call it around here

"Chateau do Mont"
And you're right about the off kilter bit - it leans to the right (the photo, not the castle).
The road does lead out of the image, but I hope you had a good look at the castle before you left LOL.
