Frog on a Lilypad

Interesting shot. I think I would have cropped it a bit differently. You don't have to show the entire lily pad and all the "stuff" in the water as it really detracts from the image. You only need to show a bit of the lily pad and an edge with the water to convey the setting. If it was mine, I would have cropped across the top of the lily pad, showing a bit of the water, down through its centre and then along the bottom, just showing the bottom edge and a bit of the water. That way the frog becomes the real main image.

Wow that is one big-ass lily pad or a really tiny frog! I think I am in the opposite mind set of WesternGuy on this one. I like that you're showing the whole lily pad and some of the surrounding water. It is a bit bright throughout though. Maybe a very subtle vignette to highlight the main subject would take it to the next level.

John, you obviously had better luck than I. The frog absolutely wouldn't cooperate on mine: :D :D

Great shot.
Love the crop. I find it more interesting with the size relationship

Great moment, but i think you stayed on the mid term, and wanted to show the whole lilypad but you cutted the right part... and the frog stayed a little bit distant.
I think i would do a entirely lilypad shot, or cropped like the westernguy said,to give more details to the frog.
