frog!

I fished this guy out of my pool one day. A question-does the sharpness look too funny on this one?

It looks like there has been too much processing on this one - if you look down his back on the right, there are clear signs of stepped pixelation. Was this the full frame, or has it had some cropping?

so i guess my new question is, how do i edit it? the "noodle" is overexposed to the sides of the frog, which is why i cropped it in the first place. what's the best thing to do?

the extreme sharpening brought out quite a lot of the noise in the black background.

light was not easy on this one either, so you are a bit in trouble with your highlights.

i would go for noise reduction, selective for the background. and darken the image a bit before increasing contrast .
