It was fun even for a non-enthusiast like me. I did see the Camaro model I learned to drive in, and suggested that next year they have a show of old drivers. This was at the L.A. Farmers Market, which once housed a real Gilmore Gas station, and even a race track. 6/1/19 a6000 16-50 It was very crowded and difficult to get full length shots of the cars without including disturbing elements - like other photographers. Walking home after the show it was depressing to see all those grey and black cars parked around the neighborhood.

We have a huge Gilmore car museum here in Michigan. They have a lot of shows lined up this summer.

When I was a boy, my granmother had a 1957 green Buick Century...I recognized the damascene dash trim! Very distinctive!

Nothing like a car show of vintage automobiles. An era "gone bye". The styles, colors, richness, uniqueness - no offense to our friends on the other side of the Pacific - but today's "rice burners" just can't match the "muscle" of the American Classics.

I'll have to do some research on the Gilmore brand. I just associated them with California, or maybe, like Signal Gasoline - the sponsor of the Whistler on the radio - the west coast.

The museum here has a complete Signal Gasoline station. Even a service bay. I have pics of it

Interesting. So they don’t just have local brands.
