Yes they can be but not nearly as noisy as Blue Jays.

Thanks. I have a couple of feeding stations in my yard and it draws them in.

Great shots! I love the angle on the last image. Were you up somewhere higher than the bird or is the branch just vertical? Also, I'm curious. Do you still need to crop some of your photos even with 150-500mm glass?
