I am selling my Nikon 24mm f/2.8 AF lens.
I bought this a year ago and have used it some, but I have alot of overlap in my lenses and this overlaps 3 other lenses. My goto lens is a 24-85/2.8 so this one just sits on the shelf now.

The aperture is snappy and the aperture lock works fine. The manual aperture controls are well defined.
This is a metal body and is heavy duty compared to the 50mm/1.8s

Manual Focusing is smooth on this lens.
Photos are fantastic with this lens, nice and sharp. It does require a focusing motor camera if you want AF, such as Nikon d7000 and higher. I think the d90, d70 and also film models it will work with such as my old n80.

the screw-drive AF works perfectly fine on my d7000 and d600.

I didn't originally buy a AF-D model as I was going to do outside work with it, thus I wasn't going to use a flash which is where the D(istance) part comes into play for helping with Flash, from what I recall.

$150 shipped to TPF members in the Continental US. It's not on eBay yet to see if anyone here is interested first.

Nice price, hopefully it's still here on payday.

Why not put it in eBay? Do you accept PayPal?

He'd have to sell it for around $175 to break even in fees to the $150 he's offering it at here. He's doing us a service by offering it here first at a discounted price.

I was trying to sell a lens here once and a member here complained about the price I was offering it at, even though he was interested in buying it. I ended up selling it on ebay for almost $40 more, but I didn't even make any more money over the potential sale through here after all was said and done and I had to pay $35 in ebay fees and then the pp fees.

Someone I find eBay prices had shot up through the years. The only real service it provides is Buyer & Seller protection I feel.

ebay does not protect sellers whatsoever.

Yes I take Paypal

also cash, even if in pennies (as long as you ship them to me)
:)

and as mentioned ... the fees add up ... so I figured I might as well sell it here first. why not, I figured I might find someone on this site that is interested in camera stuff ...

I do sell stuff on ebay .. feedback score of 272, 100% positive, since 2001

Amen to that. That's why I have severely curtailed my selling.

I could sell a dollar bill on ebay. List it as a dollar bill. State it has a value of $1.00. Post photos of it. List visible wear, creases, torn corners, writing on it, the whole nine yards.

Someone would bid and win it for 95¢. I'd have to pay 4¢ Insertion Fee, and 7¢ Listing Fee, and then PayPal would ding me for another 6¢. So I'd sell said dollar bill and get 78¢ out of it.

When the buyer gets the dollar bill, they'd claim some obscure and vague reason why I didn't properly describe the item ("The year was not specified on the listing" or "Seller never said which US President was on it."), make a claim to PayPal, and get their 95¢ back. At that point, I'm out $1.65 (add the cost of an envelope and stamp!) for being honest.

I sold a cell phone years ago. I stated very specifically it worked on USCellular. But it may work on other carriers, here's a list of various carriers (names & phone numbers listed) so you can contact them to see if phone with ID no. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx will work. Buyer left me negative feedback, claiming it didn't work on their carrier (Verizon), and also claimed I said it would in the description.

They got their money back, and I had to pay shipping back to me as well as all the fees. All because I gave them the phone number so they could call Verizon.
