The condition is like-new. Comes with both rear and front caps.

Anyone know how this compares to the 18-105?

they are of similar build quality, both being good lenses for wide-angle to a reasonable zoom. I have yet to have a problem with this lens, and i used it for a good few months when i first got my camera.
This lens has an obvious one-up over the 18-105, as it has a greater length.

wow, what is 'like new' about this lens? In two of the pics you can see what looks like a scuff on the barrel, or there is something on the lens. It would have to be a way better deal for me to think of trading my SB600 for it! My SB600 IS like new!

Scuffs on the barrel? that litte white dot thing is a piece of dust..
