Is that AF-S lens? (Have in built focus motor?) can auto focus on camera like D3100 or D5100 which don't have in body focus motor?

and is it better to buy 18-55mm VR Nikkor + 55-200mm VR Nikon or this lens?
What about the Image quality and performance and build quality?

Yes, HSM is the Sigma "Hyper-Sonic Motor" designation, meaning a built-in focusing motor. The lens is built very very well, with a metal mount (versus the plastic mount on the Nikon 18-55 and 55-200 lenses). It is an excellent multi-purpose lens, and I am sure you'll be happy with the results.
