Just reviving this thread to share that there is now an app for android and iOS that allows easy access to all of these film recipes. I've never played with recipes much on my X-T3, but I absolutely plan to dive into them on the X100V when it arrives.

If I understand that correctly the Fuji recipes are not the matter of creating a custom profile by changing basic stuff like highlights, shadows, sharpening, WB, and so on

So, he’s talking about film simulations. They come built into the camera.

Film recipes are home brew custom settings to create DIY film simulations.

The user can customize a simulation, in camera, and save it. They can also do it as they convert it in camera, or do this in Fuji's Xraw studio.
