If I do go with the Fujifilm xe2 for food photography (both in-restaurant and in-studio), do you think I will need an extra macro lens? Or, is the lens that comes with it enough? Thanks!

The X-E2 come with a 18-55mm zoom. It is not a macro lens but it does have reasonable close focus ability. If you're photographing a dinner plate it'll get you close enough. Here's a photo I took recently using the close focus ability of that lens:

Fuji sells a 60mm macro for the camera but one of the advantages of a mirrorless camera with a short flange distance is the ability to mount just about any lens. I use one of my old enlarging lenses as a macro lens and it works extremely well. Since I already had the lens my only cost was a $40.00 adapter.

Ysarex, that is a lovely photo! Wow! I think that lens will be just fine for my food photos, but sometimes, I will need to really get close with the texture. I have read that the lens you used for that photo gets within 5cm at a clear focus. Is that true?
