Wow, it feels like I haven't been on here in years! ;)

I recently got Canon's 50mm f/1.8 lens, which I am totally and utterly in love with. Here's some of the latest favorites, C&C is welcome:

cool. a few have weird focus...but you gotta love the 50.

There's two in my house. Me and my brother both own a 50 1.8....
He just got his yesterday with his 40D. I think everyone should own one.

#5 is a great example of why its nice being able to have your aperture at 1.8

its a great lens i couldn't of spent 80$ any better then buying it. good shots!

Thanks!

I totally agree. It's such an amazing lens... and it's really cheap, too.

Congrats, Emma!
It is an enjoyable little lens, isn't it? I like mine, too. (And I like your photos here, mostly so the last two).

Hey ! :) Emma is posting again :)

I cannot see image number 6 though :(

playing with the shallow DOF, aye? ;)

nice autumn impressions ... some of the images are very Emma-ish :p

in #2 the composition in the bokeh is a bit confusing with the distracting tree.

the leaf in #3 would enjoy having a green background which would give more contrast. as it is now, the bokeh behind the leaf has the same colour as the leaf itself.

#5 is very blunt straight forwad ... however this gives the image a sort of photographic innocence which is interesting in a way.

Wow, I really like 3 and 6. And 2. Six is the best, though, with the sun rays shining down behind the ... plant? (looks like a weed, but it's still cool).

last 2 are my fav
