i've just woken up right now (been at the party last night) and am very nicely pleased to see so many people reply to this; so once again thanks.

after all i went for the more stylish approach rather than the funny one, that is i made him a tshirt with 4 pics of a lens-less Canon EOS 600 and a quote which said:

well, at least the beginning made a bit more sense than other quotes i had found... and he liked it i guess

nice one. unfortunatelly canon has the cheapest stuff around so... i pretty much have to... and also the only images of a decent enough resolution to print a4. EDIT: that is, pics of the camera to put on the tshirt.
