A garbage container, actually. I've been experimenting with semi-abstract photography some more. This is one of the shots from last weekend.

Monster halo... Why?
The yellow looks too dark as opposed to the green of the lawn, as if you totally took down the hightlight contrasts in the raw converter and added a huge amount of fill light. Did you?
 
The garbage container looks pasted for reasons mentioned by LaFoto.

It's the contrast and levels in Photoshop Elements 5. This haloing is an effect (sometimes undesired) that you get when you play with these controls. In this particular image I do like it, although I'll probably hate it when the novelty wears off.

I guess this is, indeed, a garbage shot :)
