Spent a couple years there while at Ft. Carson in late 60's - Roamed that area almost every weekend, and had some really beautiful 'secret' spots.. My son was also stationed there last year and I went to visit him - where there were once deserted dirt roads, there are now "one way" paved asphalt roads .. designated parking, safety rails, and bus lanes. I used to just go hang out on the rocks with nobody in sight for hours - although the beauty and rocks haven't changed, the experience has...... As beautiful of an area as this is, I just wish you could have seen it 40 years ago ... it was almost religous..
