A work in progress is my BEE HAPPY garden. Focus is hummingbirds, honeybees and Monarch butterflies. It is somewhat large, with room to expand more. I do some larger things to fill in. If the endposts of the sign look crooked, that's the way they grew. Didn't see a use to cut the trees and reset the posts.

I make tee pees from bamboo and grow vines, Cardinal vine, Cypress vine and some plain old Morning Glory. I have the bamboo so, why not?

The shade inside the tee pee is welcome on hot summer days.

I'm old, how else would I spend my time?

Got a few winter projects going on.

Been foraging blue stone from out bush to replace the front border with, reusing the rectangle blocks for a round garden out the backyard.

They must have stuffed up because i have way to much soil left over, there's definitely a extra meter + the remaining 0.5.

Not complaining, it's $100 worth of free soil. The bunny's didn't help dig, lazy buggers.

We've had such a long, chilly spring that extended into June - I'm glad summer has finally settled in!

It's hot, and I was in the backyard watering the garden when something fluttered in the corner of my eye. So glad the cellphone was in my pocket!

Can you spy the butterfly? I have three very tall Swamp Milkweed plants in the middle of the daylillies- the favorite plant of the Monarch butterfly.

I hope to see some Monarch caterpillar action soon.

In its third year, my "Sugar Shack" button bush is looking full and gorgeous.

Finally developing the famous "button" blooms that pollinators will enjoy for months.

It's back in the area that has flooded in the past; it can certainly take it and dare the skies to give more! My kinda plant.
