Generic Photo is Generic. But it is HDR! :D

Pretty boring shot I know. Yesterday morning and afternoon until about 5pm were so blustery and snowy, and then shablam, everything cleared up and we had a beautiful evening. I always love when the clouds begin to head out and the low sun rays shine through the remaining moisture in the air creating this golden glow even before the sun begins to set.

Yes, I know it's really saturated, but honestly without the colors this photo is nothing. It is intentional.

The sky is great, which is no small accomplishment with HDR. I think I would have opened up the shadows on the houses a little more; maybe another exposure or too on the over exposed side would have been better.

Is this really HDR? I can't see where any tonal range is revealed? The trees are flat black silhouettes.

It kinda works, though. It's a genre I don't much like, a sort of formalized snapshot which feels to me like it's trying hard to assert that banal snapshots of nothing ARE SO ART THEY ARRRRREE! It's not a banal snapshot of nothing, though, quite. The light is good, the sky is good. It's just the flat suburban blah that makes it feel like one of those things.
