Another example for me of how difficult it is to actually see one's own image.

Agreed. Now there is a true gradient that leads the eye to the intended subject. I like this very much.

As a follow up to a presentation I made locally, I wrote a blog post about getting this shot.
Most street shots occur quickly and the steps to get it aren't obvious; this one happened slowly and deliberately and seems to be a good step-by-step.
