I prefer #1, FWIW.

(edit) With the addition of a new #1, I wish to change my vote.

I still like #2 (the original #1) best, although if you are tempted to edit heavily, then I agree with Michelle if you were to clone out all the background trees in #3 I think it would be the best one here.

I'd say #1 cropped to 8x10 and lose the upper most sky.

I like #3, the horizontal one, because the big tree separates most from the more distant tree and doesn't overlap it as much as it does in #2, and the dark tree off to the right sort of plays off the big light patch in the sky in the upper left-corner area.

All three are lovely, but I like #3 the best. It's the cleanest view of the large tree and I like the sweep of the hill to the left.

I like the last one and would like it even better with enough lopped off the left to eliminate that wedge of trees lower left.

I #3 the best as well. If cloning the trees doesn't work, go back (if possible) and shoot from a lower angle.
It's an awesome tree.

As for the photos, fwiw, I like the treeline the way it is in #3.
