I agree about the burning the corner. I'm not sure about the yellow in the border? I think white may look better? But that's a personal thing

Yeah, I think I'd skip the yellow box too. It draws attention away from the subject a bit. I wouldn't mess with the corner. If you can make images like this and be able to say they're not photoshopped, so much the better.
