Took my weekly hike up to goat country yesterday (13-Aug-2025) near my home in Montana.
Cool (55F) and windy up on the ridge. I left the house at 4am to be on the ridge by sunrise (6:30am).
First photo is a billy backlit by the rising sun as I hiked towards the east on the ridge.
Second photo is from a couple hours later, 2 kids playing in steep terrain.
By 9am the quality of light had deteriorated and I headed back down.
Home by noon for a long nap (I am retired).
