So I’m trying to learn and understand my first flash and transmitter. I’m trying to understand how groups work, I have godox mf12 twin flashes and from what I managed to find assigning each flash to separate group allows to control them separately but they still fire at the same time, so from my understanding unless I’m confused about something if i assign them to different groups but keep setting the same on each I should be getting same exposure as if they were assigned to the same group. Well that’s not the case here so I wanted to ask for an advice.

I using ttl here, I have been taking multiple shots many times to make sure that slightly different framing is not messing with the exposure, but every time I assign one flash to group B I’m getting different results, brighter as if they were both assigned to one group A.

All pictures were taken with same EC , brighter pictures are where flashes are in different groups, all settings are the same with same EC . Shouldn’t I be getting same results?

I haven’t tried that in manual mode yet.

I asked this myself a long time ago. And I was asked have you thought of using reflectors? They make a big difference when shooting something like a camera pouch. Or you could mail me your camera and flashes and I could figure it out for you.
