You may want to D&B a little bit. Your dark spots are too dark (blending together) and the light spots are too light (causing glare). For example, the brim on the hat disappears (too dark) and the front of the shoes turn to white (too light).

If this was shot in raw you can change the exposure, or the fill light, etc...

Looking at the shrubbery in the background makes me thing you distorted this picture already... no?

Yeah I did that purposely, idk but it was just appealing to me at the time. But no I see where you're coming from, I could've gone down a different road with this and had a much better outcome... damn.

Do you have the original image? Always keep a copy of the original.

But TheSon is right, the hat looks like a black blob... it's not immediately obvious what it is.

Yeah I have the original. I'll probably play around with it and see what I can come up with later tonight.

The effect is too strong it needs more gradation, but if the harsh effect correlates with the song then by all means keep it. It is whatever looks best to you.
