I was up in San Francisco, so I stopped to take a few pics of the Golden Gate Bridge at about 7pm. It's a nice time to take some photos - there are not many people on the bridge after dark. It is interesting to note that the bridge is painted a reddish color, but the lighting makes the bridge a golden color at night. It turns out the lights on the bridge are low pressure sodium lamps which give off a monochromatic yellow color. The sodium lamps basically make everything a yellow or golden color. So it is truly the golden gate at night. Pentax K100D and Pentax DA 16-45mm. 15 sec, f6.7, iso 200 15 sec, f6.7, iso 200
Nice. Right up my alley. I love night shots on bridges. Im hoping I make it to SF in the middle of this year. Is it the bay bridge thats the other main bridge there?? How does it look at night??
