Very nice arrangement to show the illusion of depth. You do know your tricks.

Yep mysteryscribe, that was the idea! The flowers are small, but cover the banks of bushes pretty well, so it was either go really close (potentially interesting), go well back (usually boring), or try and do a bit of both (that's what I did). And include some blue sky, as a near complementary colour to heighten the yellow/orange, and for additional interest.
