Goslings First Trip Down River

Ever since the Geese arrived home I've been waiting for someone to have babies.
Yesterday the first bunch made their way down the river

Not great lighting conditions, I had to shoot into the sun and they tucked into the shade for most of the time they were close and by close I mean at the outer reaches of my lens lol but I was determined to get the first trip.
C&C always welcome and appreciated.

It was a dangerous trip! The currents push them into the shore on the other side of the river, when they got into shore there was a Common Grackle waiting for them. Mom and Dad did a good job taking care of the little ones and keeping it at bay.

As they headed off down river two lagged behind a bit. Momma has the "Mom look" down pat already!

Can't really comment on how good they are technically, but 3 and 4 made me go 'awwwwwww'

Judi, Just a super set. All your pictures are nicely composed and exposed. What I really like about your set is that it tells a very specific story. From the 1st to the last picture, the story line is logical and just flows. WTG girl. :thumbup:

Jaxx Momma and Daddy took great care of them and put themselves between the babies and the Grackle, it was neat to watch! After they passed they were heartily greeted by the rest of the flock.
It was one big long moment of awwww lol
