Thanks! Yeah, this defiantly wasn't in Santa Paula... I've bee out working in Mississippi near Grenada & Starkville for past few weeks. It's mostly been in the high 30s and low 40s, but today it warmed up a lot and the critters started to show!

ah...you're at UF. Do you go out to Payne's Prarie much or to Kanapaha Gardens? My folks live across from SFSC in the Village. I like the Micanopy and hawthorne areas, too.

Funny alligator story. I was out there last winter and it was brisk. The gators were al up on the side banks sunning. Two UF boys, obviously not from the south decided to see if they were alive and poked at a big fellow with a stick. Big fellow turned nearly on his axis and just missed having one boy's leg for lunch. Both boys did a #2 in their britches...then got arrested. It could have been tragic but even so it was funnier than hell.
