Got my first piece of L glass today!

I ordered the EF 17-40mm f/4L USM as a graduation present to myself for completing OCS. I can't wait to bust it out as soon as I get home and spend the weekend testing it out.

My flight didn't get in until around 10:30 last night, so I only had time to unbox it and drool at how amazing the build quality was before I passed out. Today is going to be fun, though!

Thats a great piece of glass and very sharp. Also has a pretty close focus. Enjoy

whats funny net is that i owned a d3000 before i bought my 5d and when i read your post i actually had a funny mental image of me trying to mount the L on it rofl
