Graveyard

My first attempt at something more "artistic". I usually do more carefree stuff. Looking for all feedback no matter good or bad. Concept of the image is a girl crying in the cemetery at a loved ones grave site. I don't usually do black and white so I am unsure where to push the contrast levels etc to make the image its best. The slight "Haze" on some of the background is caused by a chain link in which I quickly removed the poles but didnt know how to fix the rest as its a blurred chainlink.

The photograph was taken using a "bokeh panorama" technique so any crops you think are better feel free to suggest as the original would have the resolution to do it. I attached the full and what I would consider the best crop of it.

I like them both especially number 2. What I really love in the black and white is that I didn't get distracted by colors in the scene and fully focused on the woman sitting by the grave. Somehow I feel her pain even though it is staged. The 3 flowers (uneven number) also work well for me... In general I love the scene/photos well done

It's hard to tell if the girl is distraught, praying or just meditating. Knowing the image is potentially staged I don't feel any emotion.

I like the composition of #2, but as FanBoy said, I feel a bit ambiguous about what is happening since we can't see her hands or face.

Second crop is more personal, but in the first crop more of the scene plays into the image. I might crop in 2 just a hair more and see what that gets you. Overall I like 2 better.

While I'm not sure if it was intentional, it's very interesting that everything in the image leans to the right... trees, leaves, stone, person, etc.

It looks a little dark as you have it presented here... maybe intentional, maybe not, but it looks like not. I would up the brightness AND the contrast slightly.

I think it's overall a very well done image. (BTW, I assume this was staged, yes?)

Thanks for the feedback. Yes the image is staged and the girl is supposed to be crying/distraught. I know you can't really see her face, but I can't think of a way to create that scene to make it more obvious.

I didn't even notice the things leaning to the right. Just a interesting coincidence. I wanted to go with a darker look on the photo, however I wanted all the details. On my monitor its prob a tad dark, but just bright enough to keep the detail in the tree trunk.
