Great Egret at Delta Ponds

I stood on the bank for just over an hour this morning taking a total of around 130 shots just to get one good one. The B&W conversion was done in Lightroom 4, but the back wing shows some posterization. I think it was because the back wing was overexposed and I had to boost contrast to coax any detail out of it. Maybe I should have just left the back wing blown out?

Yeah, the wing is a bit blown out IMO, but a very good shot otherwise, very elegant

My ratio is getting much better. I now only have to take 130 pictures to get one worth keeping.
