Greater Yellowlegs

First time out with the camera in a very long time. There seem to be a lot fewer birds in the area, but I might just be imagining that.

Nice shooting. Anecdotally, I think I'm seeing less birds too. There's a bird flu that spread to the wild bird population, which is unusual. I could be reading it in to what I'm seeing, though.

A very good set....

Very nice shots of a straight-to-the-point named bird!

Nice ones.

Nice set. Similar in form to our spotted Redshank but of coarse the legs are different.

Very nice set, great to see them.

Thank you! Yep, there definitely seems to be fewer birds in the wild, but I think their migratory patterns have been disrupted.

Thank you! Yes, I guess they were in a hurry that day.

Wonder where they got their names? Nice set!

Thank you! Not sure how they got the "greater" part of their name, given their small size. I can't imagine a "lesser" yellowlegs and how small that would have to be.
