Greek sunset

I am brand new at shooting, and I also have no idea how to shoot landscapes. I think I just don't have the eye for it. I don't really know what to shoot. Anyhow, this was a beginning attempt a few months back. Shot in Piraeus, Greece, aboard USS ENTERPRISE during a port visit. The image appears hazy...I guess this is "noise"??? I had the ISO adjusted really high. Shot with a D3100, no tripod. Would like some advice/suggestions, if you don't mind! Thanks!

Look at your histogram. Neither the left side (Black) nor the white side (white) go all the way to the edge of the histogram indicating that there is no true black or true white data anywhere in the image. That is what is causing the hazy look. Adjust the black point and white point so that the data in the image covers the entire histogram and it clears up a lot of it. Add a little contrast as well and it emphasizes the difference in the tones.

Personally I kind of like the varying shades of gray-ish contrast, but when you want to get rid of the hazy look that's usually what is causing it.

Thanks Craig...but unfortunately, I have no idea what you're talking about. It sounds like you may be mentioning something in regards to editing?? I do not know how to, and I don't have software.
